The Christian Orthodox Church is a major religion in Medieval: Total War, Medieval II: Total War, Empire: Total War, and Napoleon: Total War.
In Medieval II the Orthodox church is much like the other two religions, Islam and Catholicism. Unlike the Catholic and Islamic factions Orthodox factions cannot wage a Holy War, as such, it lacks crusader or Jihadist units.
In Empire and Napoleon, the Orthodox Church is exactly like the other three religions. Causing unrest when ruled by factions aligned to other religions and creating unique places of worship and religious agents.
