For other uses of the term, see Scotland.Scotland is an emergent faction in Napoleon: Total War.
Scotland emerges if its namesake region has a successful rebellion or is liberated. It borders England to the south and Ireland to the west. It has access to a two-slot city as well as a port, and it is well-positioned to take the four trade nodes in the north-west corner of the world map (provided no one had taken them already). It is historically unfriendly to neighboring Great Britain.
Scotland has the unusual distinction of not being able to recruit unlimited numbers of line infantry. Instead, it is constrained to just ten regiments of Highland Foot. These are excellent troops that are substantially better than generic line infantry, however.
