For other uses of the term, see Norway.Norway is an emergent faction in Napoleon: Total War.
Norway emerges in its namesake region (initially owned by Denmark) if it has a successful rebellion or is liberated.
Norway is one of the very few regions that has both a logging camp and a port, giving it an economic edge in building navies (lumber camps reduce ship construction costs).
Norway has access to line infantry, grenadiers, militia, and skirmishers. It cannot recruit light infantry or elite infantry. Unusually, it can pick from two types of skirmishers: Jägers or Norwegian Ski Troops, though neither are statistically remarkable. Norway can recruit light and heavy cavalry, but it lacks lancers. It has the standard minor faction artillery roster.
Despite having the advantage of having access to both a lumber camp and port in one region, Norway has a below average roster of ships, lacking both heavier and steam-powered ships.
