Forced to counter the quick and mobile missile units of the east, Western European forces have begun to develop lighter and more mobile units such as these Mounted Crossbows. Using smaller crossbows than the infantry, these units of the Fourth Crusade use their mobility to stay out of trouble while they reload their crossbows, as their rate of fire is no better than that of the infantry crossbow.
