Francland is a solitary province in the expansion game Medieval: Total War: Viking Invasion, representing northern France. Though named, it is a non-interactive province, as such it is home to no faction and cannot be invaded, serving only as scenery on the Viking Invasion map. In this regard, it is similar to the province of Sahara which can be seen on the original Medieval: Total War map.
Historically, the Normans from northern France invaded England in 1066, which is fittingly the deadline year to complete the Viking Invasion campaign.
